Zack Kemmerer is a 2007 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in biochemistry. Zack competed for Hall of Fame head coach Tom Hontz and distinguished himself as one of the state’s outstanding scholastic wrestlers. He was a four-time sectional champion, a three-time District 1 North champion and a three-time Southeast Regional champion and medaled four times at the PIAA Class AAA state championships, finishing 5th in both the 2004 & 2005 state meets before capturing state titles in 2006 and 2007. Kemmerer holds the state record for the most wins with 199 against just 18 losses. He also won titles at the Beast of the East, Ironman and Reno Tournaments. In his career for the Quakers, Zack was a three-time NCAA Qualifier racking up an overall record of (117-43). His junior season Zack was an NCAA All-American at 141 lbs. as he finished in eighth place, defeating Penn State Andrew Alton in the round of 12, 5-4. And now, nearly ten years after finishing his wrestling career, Zack Kemmerer is again tearing down obstacles, this time on the National TV series American Ninja Warrior.
