Mike McMullan is a 2010 graduate of Wyoming Seminary and a 2015 graduate of Northwestern University. At Wyoming Seminary, McMullan was a two-time National Prep heavyweight champion, pinning all but one opponent in the 2010

championships. He was the first-team selection to the ASICS Tiger All-America First Team. He attended Northwestern University where he became the third Wildcat to earn All-American honors four times during his career at heavyweight. Mike also won a Big

Ten championship in 2015. In 2012, McMullan finished 3rd in the NCAA Tournament followed by a runner-up finish in the 2013 NCAA Championships, losing in the championship finals at heavyweight to Minnesota’s Anthony Nelson, 6-2. McMullan finished in 3rd place in 2014 and capped an outstanding career in 2015 by earning his fourth All-American honor, again finishing third at heavyweight. In four trips to the national tournament for the Wildcats, McMullan finished on the podium each time – never finishing lower than third. Overall, McMullan compiled a 103-23 record while at Northwestern, and his .817 winning percentage is ninth all- time at Northwestern. McMullan was selected to compete in the NWCA All-Star Classic three times during his career, including an 8-4 win over North Carolina State’s Nick Gwiazdowski in the 2014 All-Star Classic held at The Palestra in Philadelphia. Off the mat, McMullan was named NWCA All-Academic and Academic All-Big Ten at the conclusion of the 2014-15 season. He also served as a member of Northwestern’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
